Horseshoe Bend Campground
A large, open and shady campground on the banks of the Wimmera River, in Little Desert National Park. A great spot if you want to be on the edge of the river. The campground is very large and level, however doesn't have a lot of grass cover (mainly dirt). There are basic toilets, pit fires as well as many picnic tables scattered throughout the camping area.
Ackle Bend Campground
An alternative to Horseshoe Bend Campground, right on the Wimmera River. This is also a fairly large, level campground with direct access to the river. There are pit toilets, picnic tables and large mature trees for shade. There is also a walk that follows the river up to Horseshoe Bend Campground. At dawn is the best time to see the abundant wildlife.
